The answer in short is YES! .The math and physics required to be a pilot is very, very basic. Nothing beyond your basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Once you get beyond the basic training, you can use apps on a tablet to do even that basic maths for you.

Whatever physics you need to know is also extremely basic and gets taught during the training. It’s stuff like “the wing has to make enough lift to counter the force of gravity working on the weight of the aeroplane.” No math is necessary there.

Yes, after 10+2 from NIOS with mathematics and physics, you can opt for Pilot training.

One can opt to appear for the Physics and Math paper via an open schooling board like National Institute of Open schooling to fulfil the eligibility criteria.

The NIOS board carries equal importance and value like CBSE, CISCE, UP BOARD or any other Government board in India.

The Director General of Civil Aviation stipulates that the pupil must have passed Ser Sec examination with Physics and Maths. How when, where and by how much is not a requirement.

NIOS ICSE STATE CBSE, They all are the same for the DGCA.

The public examinations are held twice a year in April–May and October–November on dates fixed by the NIOS. However, one is also eligible to appear through the On-Demand Examinations at Level and Senior Secondary level in those subjects only in which candidates have taken admission in NIOS for subject wise learning. Results of the public examinations are announced usually six weeks after the last date of examinations

The “ON DEMAND EXAMINATIONS” of various subjects both for the Secondary and Senior Secondary level. To be eligible to apply for the exams an admission under the NIOS board is required. The “ON DEMAND EXAMS” are conducted by NIOS throughout the year in fixed months. Pass results and certificates are published online as well as dispatched to all the regional centers. Aspiring pilots need to sit for the Senior Secondary Level exam of Mathematics( Subcode 311) and Physics( Subcode 312) by applying through the NIOS online portal according to DGCA guidelines and secure pass marks. The verification certificate for the same can be collected from NIOS headquarters in Noida or through an online portal by paying nominal fees
