Basic Eligibility for Pilot Training

Age: 17 years and above 

Educational Qualification:Passed 10+2 from a recognized university with Physics and Mathematics in Class 12. Candidates from Arts/Commerce stream can fulfil the basic eligibility by applying for Physics and Math paper via National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).

Medical Certification for Pilot Training

Candidate has to apply for DGCA CLASS 02 MEDICAL and receive a certificate of being medically fit before enrolling for a pilot training course. Click here to know how to apply for DGCA CLASS 02 MEDICAL.

Ground Training for Pilot Training

As mandated by the aviation regulatory body Directorate General of Civil Aviation(DGCA),candidate has to appear for ground training and subsequent examinations of Air Navigation, Aviation Meteorology, Air Regulations, Technical General, Technical Specific and Radio Telephony. These examinations are conducted every month in designated centers across the country in an MCQ based pattern, the passing score for each subject being 70. Flying Training

Upon completing ground training and DGCA examinations, candidate proceeds for flying training's earn a Commercial Pilot's License(CPL),candidate has to complete 200 hours of flying training in accordance to DGCA regulations. Click here for CPL requirements as per DGCA
